The Wheatfield Blades Peewee Minor team spent time this week giving back at Heart, Love, and Soul, helping to serve meals for those experiencing homelessness in our community.

❤️This experience was about more than volunteering, it was about coming together as a team, learning the value of service, and understanding how meaningful it is to give your time to others. The players showed kindness, teamwork, and gratitude, both on and off the ice, and represented the Blades with pride.

❤️Moments like these remind us how important it is to be grateful in every way possible—for our teammates, our families, and the opportunity to help those in need. We’re proud of these young athletes for showing that character, compassion, and community matter just as much as wins and goals.

Thank you to Heart, Love, and Soul for allowing us to be a small part of the incredible work you do. 💛💙🥅

The Wheatfield Blades took on the Wayne Gretzky Invitational in Brantford, Ontario 🇨🇦 this weekend! 🏒 Our team went head-to-head with some of the best in Ontario, holding their own in several nail-biting, close games.

The grit of this group was on full display when they rallied back from four goals down against South Oxford to get within striking distance of a win.
Between games, the team fueled up at East Side Mario’s and caught the World Juniors action together.

🏆 BLADES WIN! 11U Peewee Minor Takes the Nickel City Outdoor Challenge!
The Wheatfield Blades 11U Peewee Minor team clinched their first tournament title of the year at the Nickel City Outdoor Challenge!
• Pool Play: Finished strong with a 3-1 record.
• Semi-Final: Won a thrilling, shorthanded battle against the Nassau County Lions, 5-4.
• Championship: Dominated the final against the Tampa Bay Hockey Club, winning decisively 6-3.
Their dedication and hard work paid off!

• Gavin Haywood: A beast all tournament with offense jumping to the next level.
• Jackson Dowling: Played a crucial 200-foot game, instrumental on both the power play and penalty kill.
