The Chicago Scots invited our junior choreography team to perform at their Robert Burns event held at the Driehaus Museum this evening. They are in the process of rededicating the Robert Burns statue in Garfield Park and we created a choreography to some of Burns’ well-known songs such as Auld Lang Syne, Scots Wha’Hae, and Comin’ Thro’ the Rye. A special thank you to Scott McCawley for piping us in.

We had such a great time making the annual trip to the Illinois State Fair to dance with our friends from the Ogilvy Dancers and Dance Caledonia!

On Saturday we celebrated the 110th Annual Scottish Home picnic with Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care and Chicago Scots!

Despite the rain we were able to perform inside Heritage Hall, where our own Sadie B. McKee was crowned Heather Queen! She was crowned by previous Heather Queen and current THHD dancer Lizzie Augustine 👑🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Congratulations Sadie!

As the Heather Queen, she will serve as a goodwill ambassador of the Illinois Saint Andrew’s Society and Chicago Scots by encouraging her peers to explore their Scottish or other cultural identity while promoting Scottish culture throughout Chicagoland.
