Day 3 Recap & Camp Summary

Last Day… Best Day!

First, I want to thank Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for giving us the opportunity to work with the athletes from both Boswell High School and Eagle Mountain High School. I have a great relationship with the district, and especially with both outstanding head coaches. Because of that, I wanted to provide the very best camp possible by drawing on my years of experience coaching both high school and club volleyball. I understand how important it is to set the tone for a season, and that was my primary goal throughout these three days.

Over the course of the camp, I saw tremendous growth and buy-in from every player. They worked incredibly hard through 15 hours of volleyball over three days, embracing every challenge with effort, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

Today, every player signed a Commitment Statement. My hope is that this becomes the starting point for the culture each team wants to build, a culture where everyone feels safe to learn, where teammates encourage one another, where mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow, and where every player understands that individual improvement fuels team success.

We talked about the power of creating the right environment and how each player has the ability and the responsibility, to impact that environment every single day.

Remember:

Together, we can do difficult things.
Learning is supposed to be messy.
Success comes through consistency, grit, and perseverance.
Be a Coffee Bean. Choose to positively influence your environment rather than letting your environment influence you.

It has truly been my pleasure to work with these young women. Thank you to the athletes, parents, coaches, and EMS ISD for trusting me with your programs. I am excited to watch both Boswell and Eagle Mountain have outstanding seasons.

Best of luck this year, and remember…

The culture you build today will determine the success you experience tomorrow and the Legacy you all are responsable to leave behind.
