A little over 2 months ago, the doctors were preparing us for the possibility that Bob might not survive.
His heart stopped multiple times. He underwent emergency procedures, open heart surgery, dialysis, ventilator support, ICU stays, infections, setbacks, rehabilitation, and more moments than we can count where things could have gone differently.
But this OTL family never gave up.
From the very first seconds inside the gym, people stepped in without hesitation. Training turned into action. Courage showed up. Lives were changed forever.
Then came the prayers.
So many prayers.
When the medical outlook felt hopeless, this community continued to believe, continued to serve, continued to pray, and continued to stand beside Bob and his family every single step of the way.
And now?
Bob is home.
Walking.
Talking.
Meeting his first grandbaby.
Making sarcastic comments.
And continuing to fight forward every single day.
His story is nothing short of a miracle.
We will forever be grateful for every first responder, nurse, doctor, therapist, family member, friend, and every single person who prayed for him.
OTL - this is community.
This is family.
This is what showing up for people looks like. ❤️
