2020 Minor League Baseball Season Update
NORTH PORT, FL (June 30, 2020) — Earlier today Minor League Baseball announced the cancelation of the 2020 season. The campaign would have been the Fire Frogs first season at CoolToday Park.
The 2020 Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball seasons were significantly delayed in the best interest of public health and in accordance with federal guidelines. While MLB recently agreed to an abbreviated 2020 season, the 2020 MiLB season unfortunately had to be canceled.
“We were excited to be hosting the Florida Fire Frogs and the Florida State League at CoolToday Park this summer,” said Christina Shaw, Florida FireFrogs General Manager. “We look forward to the 2021 Atlanta Braves Spring Training and other upcoming events at the ballpark.”
Our thoughts and prayers remain with those around the world who have been affected by this pandemic.
CoolToday Park is the Spring Training home of Major League Baseball’s oldest continuously operating franchise, the Atlanta Braves. The park is the newest Spring Training facility in baseball and actively engages with the community via its page, CoolToday Park.
