What a battle on the field Saturday! 🏈

Our 14U Patriots of Wellen Park went head-to-head against the 14U Port Charlotte Bandits in a tough matchup. Both teams came out, played with tremendous heart, and left everything on the field.

The Port Charlotte Bandits took the win, 35-0. Congratulations to the Bandits on a great game, and best of luck to your team on the rest of the season!

Patriots, we take the lessons, work harder in practice, and come back stronger next week. Proud of the effort and hustle from every single player! 💪 PATRIOT PRIDE! 🔥

🏈 GAME DAY RECAP! 🏈

What a weekend of football! We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Cape Youth Football Association for traveling to our home field and battling it out with the Patriots of Wellen Park! 🇺🇸🏈

Both organizations took the field with heart, dedication, and determination. Every player showed up ready to compete, fought through every play, and most importantly, never gave up! 💪

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

Today, September 11, we stand together as Americans to remember one of the darkest and most tragic days in our nation’s history.

Today was especially meaningful as the President of Our Patriots of Wellen Park had the honor of performing our National Anthem at the SCF campus in remembrance of September 11.

We remember the innocent lives that were taken.

We remember the families whose lives were changed forever.

We remember the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, and friends who never got to say goodbye.

And we will forever salute the heroes who ran toward the danger.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, military members, medical professionals, and countless ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage and selflessness. They answered the call when their country, their communities, and their fellow Americans needed them most.

Some gave their lives trying to save others. Some carried the physical and emotional scars home with them. And some continue to live with the memories of that day.

Today, we don’t just remember the events of September 11, 2001. We remember the people, the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the families who have carried that loss and those memories every day since.

May we always remember what happened.
May we always honor those who were taken from us.
May we always stand behind those who serve and protect our communities.
And may we never forget the courage and unity that rose from the ashes.
