Let’s talk about the number one layer of protection…
S U P E R V I S I O N
—Constant eyes on (CEO) supervision. Nothing tricky about this one. Put the cell phones down and constantly keep your eyes on the child(ren) in the water.
—Segmented supervision and designate a water watcher. Take 15 min shifts with other adults and be the water watcher and CEO of supervision.
—Touch supervision for nonswimmers.

We sometimes hear of the misconception that ISR lessons are only for babies. While we do pride ourselves in teaching aquatic safety for babies, we also teach older kids as well. Yes, students will learn to swim, but they will also learn to independently rollback to a stable float and then continue swimming when they are ready. This student is a prime example of an older student showing off her ISR skills.

ISR’s unique results are achieved through fully customized, safe and effective, one-on-one lessons with only your child and the Instructor in the water. What your child will learn, and the way he or she will learn it, is what makes ISR so different from traditional swimming lessons. Always putting safety first, ISR emphasizes competence, which leads to confidence, and provides the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in and around the water.

What your child will learn depends on his or her age and developmental readiness, but in all cases, at minimum, your child will learn to roll onto his or her back to float, rest, and breathe, and to maintain this position until help arrives.

ISR lessons are 5 days a week, Mon-Fri for up to 10 mins each day. It generally takes 6-8 weeks for your child to master their skills. Consistency is paramount to your child's success, please plan accordingly when scheduling.

Hi friends! We have some exciting news. In addition to Swim Like Sawyer Infant Swimming Resource and Swim Safe Infant Swimming Resource, North Port will soon have a third ISR instructor! This ISR trainee, Kristin, has begun her training and will be certified in the near future. She has already opened her schedule to take clients once she is fully certified.
