Your Wrestling Dukes had a great winter break! The first day of practice was last night and the FDOC was yesterday too!! We’re looking so forward to this semester and it’s going to be packed with wrestling events!! Stay tuned!

Our VP, Brady, fought hard and won FIRST PLACE at the Builder Invitational earlier today! This tournament is just as tough as the other ones we participate in and Brady came out on top after a 4-3 decision on the match that won him 🥇! Brady had family support and alum support in this tourney! As always I’m so happy to be their president and so proud of Brady!

Finishing this post is a word from Coach John on Brady’s win:
“I just want to congratulate our outstanding Vice President JMU Club Wrestler Brady Bollander, 157 pound Champion (Builder Invitational). He said he could do it, and he did it!!! So proud of him, and all of our team!! Go Dukes!! Coach Doughty”

Wishing a heartfelt congratulations to our newest Dukes Wrestling alum: VICTOR HARTLEY!

Vic is our past treasurer and he graduated today with a degree in marketing! While at JMU, he minored in supply chain management and geographic sciences! He plans on working after graduation in government consulting!

We’re so proud of Vic and his accomplishments during his time at JMU and his time as a Wrestling Duke! We wish you nothing but success, Vic!

DECEMBER MAN OF THE MONTH: GARRETT NICHOLSON

Garrett is a sophomore marketing major and a competitive member this year! He won 2nd at 165 in our invitational at home earlier this semester!

Garrett has been wrestling for 9 years and hails from Fairfax, VA. Garrett said this year a goal he has is to get first place!

Your Wrestling Dukes had their last practice for the fall semester tonight and we had a great turnout! I LOVE BEING THEIR PREZ! We had a joint practice with and it was so cool to see these 2 tough sports at the same time! Happy LDOC tmr, Dukes, and GOOD LUCK ON FINALS!
