B Hoover Custom Calls is owned and operated by Brent and Sherri Hoover in North Platte, Nebraska. We offer duck, goose, deer, turkey, predator, squirrel calls and other items. I grew up just outside of North Platte which lies between the North and South Platte rivers. My dad made several items for my brother, sister and myself at a very young age. I carried a two foot long hand carved deer rifle m
ade by him into the fields and woods until the finish wore off. I still have that toy. Through the years he introduced me to hunting, fishing, art and woodworking. From that I have always enjoyed making my own hunting and fishing equipment. I began making wingbone calls, tube calls and antler whistles nearly twenty years ago. I would paint, scrimshaw or carve on these calls. Game calls have always fascinated me. They bring hunting, art and woodworking all together. After decades of waterfowling and bowhunting, making my own calls gave me a new passion. Once again, hunting, art and woodworking were blended together. The calls you see now are the result of a long journey of research, sketches, wood shavings and the gift God has given me.
