Not an easy decision, but a necessary one. 😢

We have gone back and forth on this but due to the recent fires that moved through Potters Pasture and a personal health battle our family is currently facing, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Buffalo Bill Rough Rider. This wasn’t an easy call. The Gravel Grinder is something we pour so much time, energy and love into. It’s more than just a race. It’s a community, a tradition and something we look forward to sharing with all of you each year. The damage to the Pasture, along with the time and focus needed to navigate Shae's cancer diagnosis and treatment made it clear that this is the right decision for now. As much as we wish we could push through, we need to prioritize healing and being present for our family during this time. We are beyond grateful for your continued support, encouragement and understanding. This community means everything to us and we fully intend to come back stronger when the time is right. Thank you for standing with us not just for this event, but for everything surrounding it. We’ll be back. 🤍

Exciting news!! Cornhusker State Games was chosen as Nebraska's event for ESPN's 50 States in 50 Days program! CSG is honoring North Platte by hosting the Cycling Tour right here in NP!! They have extended the entry deadline to the day of the event, which is July 20th, starting at Cody Park! However, your pre-registration helps race directors Jeff and Shae Caldwell to better prepare for you!! Let's show ESPN and CSG how North Platte does things with Canteen Spirit!! Gather all your family and friends, find a distance that is right for you and we'll see you there!!
