Recipients of this year’s GPVC college scholarships are Kristyn Cheek, Merci Koontz, Laney Dahlberg, Sydney Bottom, Payton Peterson, and Whitley Rasmussen!
We’ve been lucky enough to coach almost all of these girls for 2+ years and a majority of them are now going on to play college ball. Over the years, we’ve watched them (and their families - shoutout to the unsung heroes!) dedicate countless hours to practices and tournaments. We’ve celebrated victories together, learned from setbacks, and watched them develop not only as volleyball players, but as leaders, teammates, and remarkable young women.
To all six recipients, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. The impact you’ve had on our club extends far beyond wins and losses. You have helped shape our culture, set examples for younger players, and shown what hard work, perseverance, and passion can accomplish.
We are so proud of the women you have become and are excited to cheer you on as you start your next chapter. We hope to have you join the GPVC crew in a new capacity in the future! 😁
