You can wear a belt.
But that doesn’t mean you’ve become what it represents.
The color is visible.
The commitment isn’t.
The discipline isn’t.
The way you train when you’re tired.
The way you respond when things aren’t going your way.
The respect you show to your training partners.
The decision to keep showing up, even when progress feels slow.
That’s what gives a belt its meaning.
Because anyone can wear a color.
But not everyone is willing to live up to what it demands.
Because in Jiu-Jitsu, a belt shouldn’t be just something you tie around your waist.
It should be something you uphold.
