Today I decided to go for a run and it made me realize something important.

The water was flowing.
The sun was shining.
Butterflies dancing by.
Turtles taking in the warmth.
The trees stood quietly, unchanged.

And for a little while, it was just me.

No noise. No expectations. No need to be anything other than present.

I have a hard time understanding how people are happy when they are alone. I feel like that makes loneliness creep in. But today I think I understood that sometimes being alone isn’t lonely, it’s actually a chance to reconnect with yourself. Today’s miles weren’t about pace or distance. They were about peace. 🌿☀️🦋🐢

Being a fitness professional is one of the most exhausting and most beautiful things I’ve ever given myself to.

People see the workouts… but they don’t see the weight we carry.
They don’t see the days we show up running on empty, hoping our energy is enough to lift an entire room.
They don’t see the moments we question our purpose, our impact, or our ability to keep giving when we’re already drained.

And they definitely don’t see how hard it is when someone walks in carrying negativity so heavy it spills into the room.
We feel it.
We absorb it.
And sometimes it makes us wonder — Should this energy even be allowed in the space we’re trying so hard to protect?
Because we want everyone to feel welcome… but we also want everyone to feel safe.
And navigating that tension is harder than anyone realizes.

But they also don’t see what keeps us going.

The quiet “thank you” from someone who almost didn’t show up.
The moment a student lifts a weight they thought was impossible.
The person who breathes easier after class because they finally let something go.
The way a room full of strangers somehow turns into community, support, and belonging.

It’s draining.
It’s heavy.
It’s emotional.
But it’s also soul-filling in a way nothing else is.

Being a fitness pro means pouring out even when we’re tired — and trusting that the right people, the right moments, and the right breakthroughs will pour back into us.
It’s not easy, but it’s purpose.
And it’s worth every ounce we give.
