We are absolutely heartbroken by the tragic news of Parker Sutherland’s passing early this morning.
What can be said other than sometimes our Faith is tested by events we cannot make sense of. Parker was in peak condition, with seemingly endless potential & opportunity ahead of him.
A larger than life young man with tremendous athletic ability, but an even bigger heart. He possessed a coach’s dream combination of unrelenting work ethic + positivity. However, most notably Parker was kind to ALL and always arrived with a smile on his face. His kindness was inspiring and he treated EVERYONE with the utmost respect.
Parker displayed tremendous empathy, but also held true to his values. Something that is not as common as one might think these days. It is these talks, about the things that were important to him, that I am forever grateful for and will never forget!🙌❤️
Parker was the quintessential All-American kid. He had tremendous love for God, his family, his country, his teammates and coaches at , his community and his friends!
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends.
The question of “why a loving God allows inexplicably tragic events to occur?” is complex. However, it is during times of immense pain & grief that God shares in our suffering and wants us to rely on Him. His providence is constantly at work, and sometimes the most insurmountable hardship brings us closer to Him. God’s grace & love for us is unlimited. I pray we can all seek solace in Him and be there for each other. Parker surely would have wanted that for each and every one of us!🙏❤️💪
God bless & rest easy big fella! I sure am going to miss you!😓
