Don’t mess up your one foot pivots how I used to. Slow down and break it down to the most basic level of movement.
Focus on the weight distribution between your heels and toes. How much you press into one more than the other is a small but very import skill to master.
We call this “weight distribution” and it’s a key concept that helps with not only pivots but with beginner and advanced moves alike.
Bubbles, Edge Work, One Foot Spins, Slides, Corkscrews and a bunch more if not all other moves, to some degree…
Understanding whats going on here not only levels up your roller skating itself but your ability to make sense of what you are seeing when you watch high level skaters.
If you feel like you are watching magic every time you see moves you can’t do then its fundamental concepts like this one that you are lacking in your understanding.
I can make dozens of breakdowns on proper weight distribution, what problems I see most frequently from beginners and what my best practices are on a particular move and why but that may be a bit too granular for social media😅
If you don’t think it would be and would like to see more videos like this, then let me know.
Thanks for coming to my skate talk✌🏽
