Starke County Desert The Starke County Desert is a cowboy shooting club based near Knox, Indiana. We shoot on the fourth Saturday of the month from April to October.

Well, we've shot our last cowboy action match. I want to thank everyone for coming out to shoot with us. It has been fun. Hopefully, some of us will see you down the trail at another club's shoot.

Starke County Desert Cowboy Match - 05/27/23

Chicken Eye Bill was the top shooter today. Calamity Kim was second. Pudd was third. Chicken Eye Bill won the long-range 22 match. Hang em high rich was second. Calamity Kim was third.

Chicken Eye Bill won the long-range match rifle event. Pudd was second. Calamity Kim was third. Pudd won the long-range Lever rifle cartridge event. Chicken Eye Bill was second. Calamity Kim was third.

This was the last cowboy action match for our club. Thanks for joining us. We will begin having military rifle matches in July. Next month (June) will be a trial run of the military rifle match for club members only.

Starke County Desert Cowboy Match - 10/22/22

Whip McCord was the top shooter today. Whip was also the only clean shooter.

For the long-range side matches; Chicken Eye Bill won the 22 lever gun match. Chicken Eye Bill won the Match Rifle. Whip McCord won the Big Bore Lever-Action Rifle match. Chicken Eye Bill won the Single-Shot Rifle match.

Wild Jim brought some pumpkins for a side match and we had quite a time shooting those. Wild Jim’s wife made some
pumpkin trophies for today’s match. They were very nice. Thank you, Mrs. Wild Jim.

This was our last match of the year. I hope everyone has a nice winter, enjoys the holidays, and has a great New Year. Hope to see you next year in great spirits and greater health.

Starke County Desert Cowboy Match - 08/27/22

Chicken Eye Bill was the top shooter today. Great shooting, Bill. There were two clean shooters, Bobby Two Dogs and Wild Jim. Nice shooting, guys.

For the long-range side matches; Chicken Eye Bill won the 22 lever gun match. Bobby Two-Dogs won the Match Rifle. Chicken Eye Bill also won the Big Bore Lever-Action Rifle and the Single-Shot Rifle matches.
