Knox – Center Fire Rifle Match – June 7, 2026

It was a little warm day, but a good day for a shoot. We had our first shoot off today we had to shoot 2 times to get a winner, and that was Sean Lachat.

The top scoped military rifle shooter this month was Rob with 16 and 2 shootoffs. Bill was second with 15-4. The ghost shooter placed third with 7-0.

The top (and only) scoped sporting rifle shooter this month was Dave with 19 and 0 shootoffs.

The top red dot sighted military rifle shooter this month was Anthony with 20 and 4 shootoffs. Sean and Bill were tied for second with 18-4. After shooting two tie breakers, Sean ended up with 5, placing him second. Bill hit 4 tie breakers, putting him in third.

The top iron sighted military rifle shooter this month was Dave with 19 and 4 shootoffs. Dave is still shooting those iron sights great. Nice shooting.

Knox – Rimfire Benchrest Match – May 17, 2026

We had 10 shooters today. I know two of our shooters were shooting an ARA match in Wabash. Hope they shot well.

The top shooter today was Dan with 49 and 6 on the KYL. I placed second with 46-7. In third was Arnie with 43-4. We had some weird winds making it a little tough, but a challenge builds character.

Thanks to everyone that came out to shoot with us today. A special thanks to those that helped set up and take down targets. Our next match will be on Saturday, June 20th, due to Father's Day. Hope to see you there.

Knox – Center Fire Rifle Match – May 4, 2026

We had 9 shooters today. It was a good turnout for the weather we had; cold and windy. But we still had some good scores.

The top scoped military rifle shooter this month was Norm with 20 and 5 shootoffs. Tim was second with 18-5. Dave placed third with 15-4.

The top red dot sighted military rifle shooter this month was Bill with 20 and 5 shootoffs. Sean was second with 16-5.

The top iron sighted military rifle shooter this month was Dave with 19 and 3 shootoffs. Dave shoots iron sights better than many with a scope. Nice shooting.

April .22 Rimfire Benchrest Match - Results

We had 13 shooters for our first match of 2026. There were two new shooters. George Bikos has been a buddy of mine for quite a while and really likes shooting. He's just getting into this rifle stuff and enjoys his new Bergara. Dave Lewis has been shooting with some of us in Fast Metal's pistol league. He told Tim he was interested in rifle shooting and joined us today. They both seemed to enjoy the match.

There were some pretty good sores today. There was only one point separating 1st and 5th place. The KYLs put them in order. The top shooter today was Dan with 50 and 7 on the KYL. Norm shot 50-0. This was Norm's first perfect score. He was excited and a little shocked. Noce Job, Norm. In third was Delbert with 49-7.

Knox – Center Fire Rifle Match – November 2, 2025

What a nice fall day for a shoot. Sunny but cool. My buddy George wanted to shoot his 30-30, so we gave it a try. It has the worst scope I’ve ever seen. It was a 4 power with unclear optics. I’m gonna give him something better that I have lying around.

The top scoped military rifle shooter this month was Bill with 18 and 2 shootoffs. Rich was second with 16-0. Rob placed third with 15-3.

The top red dot sighted military rifle shooter this month was Bill with 20 and 5 shootoffs.

The top scoped sporting rifle shooter this month was Steve with 8 and 0 shootoffs. George was second with 7-0.

There were 7 hearty and dedicated shooters that came out today. We watched the rain blow onto the shooting benches, discussed several topics, solved many of the world's problems, and watched more wind-blown rain. We came to the conclusion that we should go get a late breakfast. So, that's what we did. We were not disappointed.

I want to thank everyone that came out today. We still had a nice time chatting all morning, even if we did not shoot. Our rimfire matches are done for the season. We will have one more center-fire match this year; 11/02/25. Have a great winter and enjoy the holidays. Hope to see you next year for more shooting.

Knox – Center Fire Rifle Match – October 5, 2025

What a nice day for a shoot. Sunny and warm, not too many days like this left. I was stuck inside at a gun show, though. We had a new shooter today, Jacob Henderson. Glad you came out to shoot. Hope you enjoyed the match.

The top scoped military rifle shooter this month was Bill with 18 and 2 shootoffs. Rob was second with 163.

The top red dot sighted military rifle shooter this month was Bill with 19 and 4 shootoffs.

The top scoped/prone military rifle shooter this month was Jacob with 9 and 4 shootoffs.

Knox – Rimfire Benchrest Match – September 21, 2025

There were 14 shooters on this nice, sunny day. It didn’t start out that way. It was raining, but ended right before we started setting up targets.

There were three shooters that cleaned the first 50 targets: Jim, Arnie, and Doug. Jim had more of the KYL targets and ended up with a top score of 50-7. Arnie and Doug were tied for second with 50-3. Dominic placed third with 49-8.

I want to thank everyone that came out to shoot today. Hope everyone had a great time. A big thanks to everyone that helped set up and tear down targets. That’s always appreciated. Our next match will be on Sunday, October 19th. Hope you can make it.

Knox – Rimfire Benchrest Match – August 17, 2025

There were 14 shooters on this nice, sunny day. Last month with the same number of shooters, we had six shooters hit all 50 of the main targets in the pouring rain. This month, with nice weather, only two shooters hit all 50. That seems weird.

Only Dan and I cleaned the first 50 targets. Dan had more of the KYL targets and ended up with a top score of 50-8. I was second with 50-5. Tim Pearson placed third with 48-7. Tim said that was the best score he ever shot. Nice shooting, Tim,
