Chesapeake will be opening on Friday March 20th. We are looking forward to another wonderful season and to welcome back familiar faces. Tee times starting at 9:30.

Golf Course Update

Chesapeake Members and Guests,

As spring is approaching, and some sunny days are mixing into the forecast, we understand the temptation to get a few holes in. However, we ask for your patience and understanding as we allow the time necessary for the golf course conditions to improve.
During the winter months, and the transition into spring, we experience ground saturation, and freeze/thaw cycles in our soils and turf. Damage to the soil structure and turf-grass is avoidable if we stay off the course during these periods of transition. As the weather conditions continue to improve we will be able to open the golf course later in March.
Even after opening the course, there could still be a risk of damage from frost or surface freezing. We will monitor these conditions and make sure the course is safe for play, so always call ahead.
Last fall we began the process of installing new irrigation lines on some of the golf course. You will notice some areas of new grass germinating and filling in. This is a large project and we still have 2 more phases to complete in the next couple years. Thank you for your patience while we are making these improvements.

The golf course will be open December 3 and December 17, between the hours of 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., for anyone wanting to purchase a membership, gift card or merchandise. If one of these times do not work out please leave a message and we will get back with you. The membership form is also on the website. Merry Christmas.!
