Well, today is a pretty tough day. After many years, the end of our travel team has come. Over the past 3 seasons, this core group of girls racked up an incredible 115 wins (.670 winning percentage) and numerous pieces of hardware at tournaments.

I have been truly blessed to coach such an outstanding and talented group of young ladies. I thank them all for allowing me to be their coach. Moving forward, I know each and every one of these girls are going to continue to do amazing things on the softball field and in life. Also, in support of these girls, are outstanding parents. I couldn’t have asked for better parents to spend the last many years with. Thank you all for the support and friendship over the years. Finally, a good head coach is only as good as his assistants and I had the best in the business. Thank you to Wards, Armand, Mike K., and Mike L. for all of your knowledge, hard work, and time.

At the Showdown at Steeltown, in our 11-1 game 2 victory, Gracynn Silvis was named team MVP. Gracynn got things going in our 9 run 4th inning by blasting a 2 run homer over the center field fence! She followed that up later in the inning with an RBI single. Great job!

At the North American World Series at Berliner in Columbus, in our 2nd bracket game 14-5 victory, Alyssa Perona was named our MVP. Alyssa went 2 for 3 at the plate including a 2 run single that broke the game open. She also made a stellar “pick” at first base and then gunned to the plate to complete a double play. Awesome job!

Unfortunately, in our 3rd bracket game (quarterfinals) we had a heartbreaking 4-2 loss to a very strong Seneca Sluggers 16u team. Great job by our girls in the intense heat!
