To mold a martial arts mouthguard, you boil water, (usually 30-60 seconds),
briefly cool it with cold water, then bite down firmly while sucking out air and pressing the guard against your teeth and gums
with fingers and tongue for about 30-60 seconds to create a custom impression,
then cool it in ice water to set the fit.
