It is with a heavy heart that North Haven Varsity Hockey announce the passing of former longtime NH Head Coach Mike “Vio” Violano. Coach Violano has been a fixture in Connecticut hockey for decades. Most recently he served as a member of the West Haven High coaching staff. On behalf of our coaches, players, and the scores of alumni players and parents, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, and a round of “stick taps” in his memory. Information on final arrangements have not been made public as of this post.

NHHS Varsity Ice Hockey celebrates Senior Night tonight. Ceremony begins promptly at 7:30 pm with faces-off against Wethersfield at 8:00 pm. Come on out to celebrate our Senior class and catch the game !

It is with great sadness that the North Haven Varsity Ice Hockey
family announce the sudden passing of former Assistant Coach Alan Tancreti last night. Coach Tancreti also was a former educator for the No. Haven BOE before making a career change, becoming a police officer for the Newington Police Department. At this time there are no details available regarding arrangements.

NH Varsity Ice Hockey extends our sincerest condolences to the entire Tancreti family. Please keep them in your thoughts.
