CT Bombers Softball A premier softball organization for young ladies aged 8-18 located in Norwich and North Franklin, CT.

To provide an organization for the girls and young women of Eastern Connecticut to utilize Fastpitch Softball as a vehicle to learn important life lessons, such as hard work, sacrifice, dedication and teamwork. To help the members of our organization excel not only on the field but off as well. To help our members achieve goals that they set individually by instilling self confidence, social skill

s, a strong work ethic and a positive outlook in all situations. The organization will promote our student athletes to their local High Schools and to institutions of Higher Learning. We aim to give each and every member of our organization the tools, assistance and guidance they may need to succeed. Our goal is to help mold well-rounded leaders who will be able to utilize the lessons we have taught to the benefit of their communities and to be successful in any field they choose for themselves throughout their lifetimes.

Tryout Location Change!!!!!

Today's tryouts are being moved to our indoor facility in Norwich.

"The Bunker" is located at;
65-69 North Main Street (Rte.12)
Norwich CT 06360

The Bunker is in a nondescript, two-story brick building. When viewed from the street, a Kitchen & Bath Shop located in the lower right of the building. Our entrance is in the back left corner of the building, diametrically opposite the shop.

Parking is on street or in a small lot to the left of the building. Upon entering the door you immediately climb 2 flights of stairs to enter our space which is the entire second floor.

Not fancy, but it is our private space where we do a ton of work improving every player.

Being a private facility there are no signs, other than a Bombers sticker on the entrance door. If you are close but have difficulty finding the proper place please call and we'll get you where you need to be.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

The CT Bombers Teal 16-U was one of only 2 CT teams playing in the Open Division of the USSSA Eastern Nationals in Salisbury MD this past week. The team amassed a 6-3-1 record and finished 4TH after playing teams from DE, NJ, OH, and PA.

The Blow by Blow;
Pool Play
Defeated the N. Buffalo Wildcats Black (NY) 4-2
Lost to the Emmaus Sting Fastpitch (PA) 7-5
Tied the Delaware Diamond (DE) 2-2
Defeated the MASH Factory (OH) 6-0
Seeded # 7

Double Elimination Bracket
Defeated #10 MASH Factory (OH) 5-0
Lost to the Delaware Diamonds (DE) 2-1
Defeated #8 South Jersey Villains (NJ) 7-2
Defeated #4 Xpress Elite (PA) 8-2
Defeated #9 Emmaus Sting Fastpitch (PA) 6-5
Lost to #1 Ohio Lasers 2027 Fogle 3-1

In compiling the 6-3-1 record the CT Bombers Teal outscored their opponents 47-25 with the final 4 games all played on Friday 7/31.

At the time of this writing the three remaining teams are the #1 Ohio Lasers, #2 Delaware Diamonds, and the #13 N Buffalo Wildcats (coming out of the winners Bracket).

WHAT A WEEKEND!
A Championship, Two Second Places, and Two Third Place finishes.

Way to go girls!

CT Bombers Teal 16-U, playing in the 10 team 18-U Division of the Shoreline Stinger in Guilford CT went 5-0-1 for the weekend winning the CHAMPIONSHIP. The final game went 9 innings (2 innings of International Tie Breaker) before the win was earned 9-8 over the 18-U Lady Fury.

CT Bombers White 16-U competed in the 9 team Summer Spectacular in Meriden Ct. The 15 y/o team played 3 games in the elimination rounds on Sunday finishing as RUNNERS UP.

CT Bombers Black 14-U played up at the 9 team 16-U Division of the Annie "99" Memorial tournament in Southington CT.. The team went 2-1 in Sunday's elimination rounds earning themselves a SECOND PLACE finish. Annie's Parents joined the team for the picture after the awards.

The CT Bombers Black 12-U team played in the 6 team Final Battle tournament in E Hartford earning themselves a Third Place Finish.

The CT Bombers Teal 12-U Team played in the 12 team Shoreline Stinger in Branford CT placing 3rd for the event.

All in all a very nice weekend.

Four Success Stories in One Weekend!

14-U Teal took Second Place in the CT Tigers Summer Sizzler in East Hartford. Pictured with some of the loyal littles from the 10-U team and younger.

14-U Black traveled to N Conway NH to Capture First Place in the Mount Washington Valley Summer Sizzler. Going 6-0 for the weekend.

16-U Teal went undefeated to take the Championship in the FPN B the Best tournament in Windsor CT. Going 7-0 for the weekend.

18-U White went to Providence RI to claim Second Place in the Fastballs and Freedom Tournament. (No picture Available).

Continued achievement is worth noting.

Our 14-U Black team participated in the FPN Lucky 7 this past weekend with outstanding effort and results.

Pool Play started on Friday with a good 4-2 win over the Central Mass Lightning, then a 16-4 victory over Shock Fastpitch Red, before ending the day with a 10-4 loss to the Polar Crush-Dailey. Pool Play resumed on Saturday with a 14-1 victory over the Southern Maine Monarchs, followed by a hard-fought 3-3 tie with the Central Mass Lightning Blue, and concluded with a 7-6 win over the Blackstone Valley Venom - Verdini. the 4-1-1 record earned the team the #5 seed for elimination rounds on Sunday.

First up on Sunday was a 11-4 victory over the 11th seeded Mass Attack Grey, then a 5-3 win in the quarter-finals vs the #13 seeded Voodoo Premier. In the semi-finals the team fell to the 17th seeded Polar Crush. Although a Third Place finish, the 6-2-1 record is worthy of note. A lot of grit shown by this tight squad.

Great Job!

The CT Bombers Teal 16-U headed South to the Atlantic College Showcase in Columbus NJ. The 10 team event was a bust as a showcase but our girls made the best of it. Friday saw a hardfought 2-0 win over the Raildogs and an 11-0 blanking of the South Jersey Gators-Wilson. Saturday saw a good 6-3 victory over the NJ Fire Showcase- Alverez before ending Pool Play with a 8-0 win over the NJ Prospects-Acker. The 4-0 Pool Play record didn't mean anything as the playoff bracket was "pre-seeded". So, the Teal team played one of the two play-in games Sunday morning and defeated the Vineland Pigtails 12-0 before facing the South Jersy Gators 14-U resulting in a 12-0 victory. Next was the semi-finals and a rematch with the Raildogs that ended with a 6-0 win. On to the Championship and a matchup against the PA Stars-Farrell. This game was a grind ending with a 9-0 victory for the Championship. To the ladies delight they were awarded rings for their efforts.

For the weekend the Teal squad outscored their opponents 67-3 and amassed an 8-0 record. Next up is the TNT Summer Showcase Classic with 70 teams just in the Bombers Division. Simply a six game schedule for the ladies, no play-offs on Sunday. Good Luck Ladies.

Congratulations! (belated)

The CT Bombers 18-U started their Summer Tournament Season at Fastpitch Nation Park playing in the 10 team Northeast States Championship. Saturday was a sweep defeating in order CT Lady Knights, Stealth, and CT Thunder. The 3-0 record earned the team the #2 Seed for Sunday's elimination rounds. First was a 11-3 victory over the Long Island Rage, followed by a 7-5 win ove the #6 seeded Stealth in the semi-finals, and ended with a 8-4 loss to the #1 seeded Kaboom-Macfie. The 5-1 record earned the team a Second Place finish.

An awesome job by all.
