Most young players only train with their teams 2 times each week; and for those who really want to maximize their technical and physical abilities, training two or three times per week are simply not enough. It is my goal to provide a service that will supplement each players team training time, with personal or small group training sessions that will focus on each individuals technical and physical development. Some of the areas that will be focused on:
• First touch – receiving the ball
• Ball striking – passing and shooting
• Dribbling and 1v1 skills
• Turns
• Physical development with a focus on soccer fitness
A little bit about me. I have been coaching for 20 years. I started out running individual training sessions and working at camps and clinics while in high school and during my four years at Boston College. Upon completion of my playing career, I immediately began coaching in college and with club teams in Massachusetts. I have been fortunate to coach at the Division 1 level with Boston College and Northeastern University, and also at the highest levels of youth soccer, with the FC Boston US Development Academy program. During that time I have been involved in the development of several MLS, USL Pro and US National team players. Most recently I have been living and working in Vermont, formerly with the Middlebury Men’s Soccer team and Nordic Soccer club, currently I am the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Norwich University.
