So, I learned today that my paternal grandfather, William Lindner, died in Clifton Springs when I was 6 years old. He was a Captain in the US Air Force and buried at the Arlington National Cemetery. I was born in Clifton Springs and living in Waterloo when he died. I don't even know if he was told about me. I would have liked to have at least met him. Thank you, Larry Stivers for your help! I also learned my paternal grandmother, Carolyn Grace Evans Lindner, had 11 siblings! Here is a pretty cool site for those researching:
