Just finished ten decorated Muskrat pelts, two of each. In the Plains and Great Lakes native communities styles. Made with crow beads, bone, gemstone, and Padre beads. And hand beaded Rosettes.

I finished up three Mtn Man/ Native American inspired necklaces this weekend.
Shown are Vintage (1960s) never worn Venetian chevron trade beads in red, blue and orange. Also Ojibwa hand carved1/2” bone beads. In white and black. Pendants are Pewter Turtle, hand knocked flint arrow head and an Adirondack Black Bear tooth.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve sourced the rare “ Carico Lake Turquoise “. The mine located in Lander county Nevada is noted for producing rare high quality Apple green Turquoise. Due to its location ( dried up lake bed) and severe winters production is limited, only enhancing its rarity.
Shown is a style both worn by locals and native women. Soon I’ll produce my Mtn Man version.
Materials- pewter feather with eagle. Double sided.

I spent the better half of last year researching eastern Great Lakes Native American Wigwam’s and Long houses, and the Plains Indian Teepees, to see weather or how they decorated their dwellings. Art was/is a huge part of their culture.
And man they did not disappoint.
Here’s my interpretation of decorated North American pelts. All materials used are native and organic.

Shown is Dorfman custom hats in black Oil skin. Soon I’ll carry Outback and Stetson. This is a two way necklace. It can be worn traditionally as well.
