What a day for the Eagles! 🦅❄️

8 Eagles made the trek up to Mittersill at Cannon Mountain for today’s Meet of Champs, and it couldn’t have been better. Perfect weather, great vibes, and race conditions you dream about.

On the girls’ side, it was a slower start in the GS with Myra Johnston cracking the top 10. Then came SL, where Myra stepped on the gas with an awesome 2nd place finish, and Summer Laine followed up strong in 9th.

For the boys, Jake Stevens led the way with a 6th place finish in GS. SL was a tough one for the boys, but everyone battled hard, gave it everything they had, and left it all out on the hill.

To say I’m proud of this group is an understatement — it’s been a fantastic year all around. And to cap it off, moving on to represent the state of NH at the Eastern High School Championships are Myra Johnston (3rd overall) and Jake Stevens (7th overall).

Huge congrats — ski fast! 🎿💪

Come out Friday and cheer on this awesome group of kids!

Come out Friday and cheer on this awesome group of kids!

Come out and celebrate our boys and girls alpine ski teams for winning the NHIAA Division II State Championship (and hopefully our ski jumping team as well). We will be have a rolling bus parade on Friday, February 13th. We will load the teams up at KHS and depart from here at 4:45 PM. The route will be heading north on the North-South Road and then cutting across at Kearsarge Street and then heading back south on Route 16. We look forward to seeing our community come together and celebrate this great achievement by these student athletes!

After yesterday’s Boys State Meet win, the girls were fired up and ready to keep the momentum rolling today at the DII Girls State Meet! It was another perfect day at Cranmore Mountain, and the Eagles came out hungry from the first run.

In the GS, the girls built an 8-point lead over Kingswood and Hanover, led by Myra Johnston, Summer Laine, Maddie Stevens, and Lydia Wiggin.

When SL kicked off, the Eagles absolutely stepped on the gas and never looked back. The girls threw down some incredible runs and took the SL by over 10 points, led by Myra Johnston, Summer Laine, Maddie Stevens, and Delaney Vachon!

That performance sealed an overall win by more than 20 points! 💪🔥
These girls left it all on the hill today, and it was awesome to watch them ski with so much confidence and intensity.

Moving on to the Meet of Champions next Wednesday:
🏔️ Myra Johnston
🏔️ Summer Laine
🏔️ Lydia Wiggin
🏔️ Maddie Stevens

So proud of every athlete—what a day and what a team. Let’s go Eagles! 🦅💙🤍

What a day for the Eagles! 🦅⛷️

Today was the NHIAA DII Boys State Meet, with 10 strong teams competing: Kennett, Hanover, Kingswood, Plymouth, ConVal, Hollis Brookline, Oyster River, Souhegan, Goffstown, and Bow. Cranmore Mt delivered a perfect day on the hill, and the boys put on an incredible show of skiing from start to finish.

After the GS, Hanover held a slim 6-point lead over Kennett—but these boys were not done yet. In the SL, they came together, skied clean, and absolutely laid it down. The result? A 10-point SL win over Hanover and an overall State Championship by 4 points! 💪🏆

This championship doesn’t happen without the outstanding effort from Jake Stevens, Stash Doucette, Jonah Katz, Tommy Calderwood, Nate Vachon, and Chase Duval. I couldn’t be more proud of this group and the determination they showed all season long.

A huge congratulations as well to Jake Stevens, Stash Doucette, Jonah Katz, and Tommy Calderwood for qualifying for the Meet of Champions next Wednesday at Cannon Mt—well deserved!

Let’s go Eagles! 🦅🔥
On to the Girls State Meet tomorrow!

It was the final regular season race for the Kennett Eagles, and it was a challenging one! ⛷️❄️ Between tough course sets in both GS and SL and very icy conditions, it made for a demanding day on the hill.

The SL course was especially unforgiving, resulting in plenty of DNFs and some epic crashes. 💥

On the girls’ side, the Eagles battled hard in GS and earned a tie with a very strong Lin-Wood team. Leading the way were Myra Johnston, Lydia Wiggin, Summer Laine, and Macie Marcotte.
They bounced back in SL, skiing aggressively and securing a 10-point victory! 🔥 Leading the charge were Myra Johnston, Madeline Stevens, Lydia Wiggin, and Delaney Vachon.

The boys faced a tough challenge going up against strong Lin-Wood and Kingswood teams. In GS, the Eagles finished 2nd place, led by Nathan Vachon, Jacob Stevens, Tommy Calderwood, and Jonah Katz.
SL proved difficult as well, with the Eagles taking 3rd place, led by Jonah Katz, Nathan Vachon, Jameson Crane, and Lucas Wade.

The Eagles will get some rest this weekend and then gear up to battle for the State Championships Monday and Tuesday at Cranmore Mountain Resort.

Let’s Go Eagles!!!!! 🦅💙

🏁 The race season is winding down! 🏁
We have our final regular-season race this Friday at Kingpine before heading into the State Meets next week — Boys on Monday and Girls on Tuesday, both at Cranmore!

We wrapped up our last home meet this past Friday with just us and Oyster River. It was a great opportunity to use the race as a tune-up for States and also to celebrate Senior Day for Eliza Sekera from Oyster River, who coaches and grew up skiing at Cranmore.

After the race, this year’s State Meet Team was announced:

Girls Team:
Myra Johnston, Summer Laine, Lydia Wiggin, Macie Marcotte, Maddie Stevens, and Delaney Vachon
Also joining the team: Addie Battles, Adelyn McAllister, Julia Fournier, Chloe Stephan, Joselyn Gigli, and Alyssa Brooks

Boys Team:
Jonah Katz, Jake Stevens, Tommy Calderwood, Stash Doucette, Nate Vachon, and Chase Duval
Also joining the team: Jamison Cleveland, Jameson Crane, Lucas Wade, Elias Sawyer, Sawyer Duval, and Josh Schull (an honorary member as he had to head back to Germany!)

Congratulations to everyone who made the team this year — let’s go Eagles! 🦅⛷️

It was a close battle for the girls today! With finals being held, we were missing some key racers, but the rest of the team stepped up in a big way and turned it into a great day on the hill. 💪⛷️

The girls finished a very close 2nd in GS, just 1 point back, then came roaring back to win SL and secure the overall victory by 1 point! 🔥

GS leaders:
Summer Laine, Myra Johnston, Madeline Stevens, Lydia Wiggin, and Addison Battles

SL leaders:
The same five stepped up again — with Summer Laine leading the way, followed by Myra Johnston, Lydia Wiggin, Madeline Stevens, and Addison Battles

On the boys’ side, GS scores were unfortunately not posted. The boys were also missing some key racers and faced tough competition from Portsmouth and Kingswood in SL. They battled hard and finished 3rd, led by:
Stash Doucette, Tommy Calderwood, Nathan Vachon, Jamison Cleveland, and Chase Duval

Very proud of all the hard work the team is putting in this year! 👏
The team will be back next Friday at Cranmore for our last home meet before the State Meets.

Also, good luck to all the athletes competing in the Ski Jumping Meet tonight!
