The top contenders at tomorrow’s Chocorua Mountain Race are gearing up for an exhilarating showdown in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

With several top finishers from previous race editions returning to the field, and some newer names to look out for, this year’s race promises to deliver thrilling action out on the trails.

Follow along Saturday morning at 8 a.m as 200+ participants take on the rugged course.

The Chocorua Mountain Race kicks off tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., featuring an epic 23K course with some of the finest mountain running in the Whites. The race marks the season opener of the White Mountain Endurance Cup, where athletes will compete across four sub ultra mountain events, with the ultimate goal of being crowned “King and Queen of the Whites,” or coveted finishers of the 2026 series!

We are thrilled to welcome back Chris Arson to the mountain this weekend.

Here are some of the stunning images he took during last year’s race, which was marked by gloomy and wet conditions, adding an extra layer of challenge and beauty to the event.

These course previews are being offered by experienced members of the White Mountain Endurance community, and all participants are required to be self sufficient for the entirety of the course previews.
