Today, Chelmsford Wrestling remembers the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

May we always remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day.

🏆 FROM THE CHELMSFORD WRESTLING ARCHIVES: THE 1991–92 STATE CHAMPIONS 🦁

The 1991–92 Chelmsford Wrestling team put together one hell of a season. 🦁🤼‍♂️

🏆 Massachusetts Division I State Dual Meet Champions
🏆 Sectional Dual Meet Champions
🏆 Westford Tournament Champions
🔥 26-3-1 Dual Meet Record

Led by Head Coach Bruce Rich, this group competed against programs from across Massachusetts and New England and added another championship chapter to Chelmsford Wrestling history.

But looking back at something like this is about more than the record.
It’s about the wrestlers, coaches and managers who spent countless hours together in the room, traveled together, competed together and helped establish the standard that future generations of Chelmsford wrestlers inherited.

More than 30 years later, that legacy is still part of our program. 🦁

Rokas was a 4-year starter at Roger Williams University, where he was a Regional Placer.

🦁 HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY, NIK SPEROUNIS ❤️

Today we remember and celebrate Chelmsford High School Wrestling alumnus and former captain Nik Sperounis, Class of 2023.

Nik tragically passed away from cancer shortly after graduation, but the impact he made on his teammates, coaches, and the entire Chelmsford community will never be forgotten.

Sometimes, the people who are in our lives for only a short time make the biggest impact. More than a wrestler and captain, Nik was a beloved teammate, friend, and Chelmsford Lion whose presence continues to be felt by everyone who knew him.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Nik. You will always be part of the Chelmsford Wrestling family. ❤️🦁

🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATT CIESLUK! 🦁

Today we celebrate Chelmsford High School Wrestling alumnus Matt Ciesluk, Class of 1991.

Matt put together an incredible career as a two-time State Champion, New England Champion, national finalist during his senior year, and team captain. 133-3 on his Career!!!

Happy Birthday, Matt! Thank you for representing Chelmsford Wrestling and setting a standard for the generations that followed. 🤼‍♂️🦁

This is Just a reminder that we’re 5 weeks away from the 2026 War Dog’s Unleash the Dog’s Tournament. Registration is OPEN.

When: Saturday, October 3rd 2026
Where: Natick High School, Natick Ma.

This is a Madison weight round robin tournament running on 5 mats with certified officials. We hope to have pools of 4-5 wrestlers so each wrestler gets 3-4 matches. We will also have a full concession stand throughout the day.

We have wrestlers competing from all over New England. We are maxing out at 500 wrestlers. We maxed out at both of the spring tournaments so please don’t wait to register. We are looking forward to another great day of wrestling.
