We have very sad news to share: Gary Griffith, a North Caldwell native and a former Wildwood Swim Club lifeguard, died on Tuesday, June 2. He was 73.

This obituary describes the way Gary, who many called a friend, lived his life exceptionally, gratefully, and with a heaping dash of humor. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday
morning in Ocean City, NJ, where Gary lived most of his adult life.

A Wildwood alumnus died earlier this month. We mourn the passing of Roger Brandell, a former Bloomfield resident, and send prayers and support to his kids – Martha, Karen, and Michael -- and to their children. Information about a Jan. 22 visitation is in this obituary.

A Wildwood Pool alum is making headlines! Mike Kish participated in the recent Penn Relays and won – decisively. He ran an incredible 13.47 to win the 70 & older 100m race.

We hear Michael is ranked no. 1 in the world in the 70-and-over group in both the men’s 100 and 200 meters! Do you think his activities back in the swim club days helped him become strong and quick? Hmmm….
