Kendrick Castillo charged the shooter in 2019.
His classmates got out.
He didn’t.
During the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting, panic exploded inside the classroom. Gunfire. Screams. Chaos.
Everyone’s instinct was to run.
Kendrick did the opposite.
He moved forward.
No weapon. No protection. No time to think.
Just a decision.
He lunged at the shooter, putting himself directly in the line of fire. The impact was immediate. Brutal. Final.
But it worked.
That single act—those few seconds—created enough chaos, enough distraction, for others to escape. Lives that would have ended… didn’t.
Because he chose to step in.
Kendrick was just a student. A son. A friend. A teenager with a future still waiting for him.
And in one impossible moment, he gave all of it away.
No training. No obligation.
Just courage that most people will never be asked to prove.
And that’s what makes it unbearable—
He didn’t have to do it.
No one would have blamed him for running.
But he didn’t.
He ran at the danger…
so everyone else could run away.
And in that choice, he became the reason others are still here today.

Raider Robotix qualifies for Regional Championships in Pennsylvania
after second competition

2026-04-14 North Brunswick, NJ FRC Team 25-Raider Robotix (North Brunswick Township High School, North Brunswick, NJ) played in their second competition in the FIRST Mid-Atlantic (FMA) Region this past weekend and qualified for FMA Regional championships to be held at
Leigh University April 16 through April 18, 2026. The local competition, hosted by Montgomery Regional High School on April 11 and 12, 2026, had a field of 34 robotic teams. At the end of Qualification matches, Raider Robotix was ranked #7; as the Alliance 4 captain, Raider Robotix was joined by Team 7045-MC Crusaders (Denville, NJ) and Team 11104-Phoenix Phanatics (East Brunswick, NJ) in Semi-final matches. The Alliance fought hard in the Semi-finals until match 12 where they were defeated.

At their prior competition at Robbinsville High School March 21 and 22, Raider Robotix was ranked 14 in a field of 29 teams; they were selected as an alliance partner by Alliance 5 and were eliminated in the 10th match of the Semi-finals. At this competition, Raider Robotix won the Gracious Professionalism Award.

This year’s FRC game “FIRST RebuilT” is an archaeological-themed game where matched have two alliances of three teams each, randomly chosen, and the alliances compete in a 3-minute timed match. Scoring depends on the most balls collected and scored by the alliance, and if robots were able to successfully hang off the floor of the playing area. All FIRST
competitions and free and open to the general public. For more information on the competition and FIRST, please visit firstinspires.com. Interested robotics fans can also watch game play live on thebluealliance.com.

Wow!!

Artemis II has captured a high-resolution image of the Apollo 11 landing site, offering a detailed view of one of history’s most significant achievements. The image reportedly shows the descent stage of the lunar module, surface markings, and other features left behind during the 1969 mission, drawing renewed public attention.

Such images are consistent with previous observations from lunar orbiters, which have documented the Apollo landing sites for years. These visuals provide additional confirmation of human activity on the Moon and help preserve the historical record of early space exploration efforts.

While discussions continue online, scientific evidence supporting the Apollo missions has been extensively documented and verified over decades. Modern missions like Artemis contribute further data, strengthening understanding of past and future lunar exploration.
