Congratulations to our May 2026 wrestler of the month Ava Fusaro. It was an obvious choice this month as Ava worked circles around everyone. Getting to all practices , hitting all the tournaments, and doing all the extras. Ava stays for double sessions, does private lessons, is the first one in the room and last to leave. I asked her to take a picture at end of class and she asked if she can get her sprints in first! The sophmore south plainfield wrestler has a bright future.

Tonight 5pm starts our high school advanced and college practice. Coaches, alumni, and currentl college wrestlers are all free to participate. If u have a current cja membership and qualify as advanced no additional cost for this class. Dropins are $25 or pay only $70 and good for a full month.
We will have some guest clinicians and we will be covering world class techniques and some vigorous live wrestling were every high school wrestler will find losses.

Blessed to have long time cja wrestler and alumni .diaz joining our cja coaching staff. Nico has been with cja since youth wrestling where coach Gene took him under his wing. Nico went to st John Vianney hs without a hold back year and was a 2 time region champ , 2x state placewinner, and took 3rd his senior year avenging a loss . Nico was a straight A student and went on to wrestle at Steven's technology University where he was a 2x conference champion, and 4th place at the division 3 nationals becoming All American. Nico suffered an injury junior year and missed the entire season but was the comeback wrestler of the year his senior season. Nico was an academic all american all 4 years and a Steven's Tech University Graduate. The hardcore cja loyal wrestler is now helping others to become the best version of themselves at cja. Welcome Nico!

This is a 4 hour clinic with coach Gene on nothing but leg riding and leg countering. Techniques will start out beginner level and increase to advanced level. Lunch and water provided! Taking the first 30 students only as space is limited. This clinic sold out last year so send a venmo or zelle to reserve your spot.

Congratulations Olivia Mitchell on becoming our March wrestler of the month! Olivia had an outstanding March making the state tournament for the 3rd consecutive season. She also went on to place in the state tournament for the 2nd time. Olivia not only was very focused in practices but she would do the all girls practice sundays then stay for the next practice. With all of her accomplishments was amazing is she still has 1 more yr of high school. Great job Olivia.

Our Womens Wednesday class is back! If you are a female wrestler you need to get to this practice! Folkstyle and freestyle all ages with coach Gene. We will meet every Wednesday at 6pm.
