Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance A nonprofit on a mission to create, maintain, & protect sustainable trails for all riders across Washington State.

Evergreen is the largest statewide MTB Advocacy and trail-building organization in the United States. We partner with land managers, communities and user groups to create great trails all over the state. Started in 1989 to just gain access to a few existing trails, we've become the leader in trail development, construction and maintenance for the region.s

Last weekend, we had our first-ever Trail School in the Cowlitz-Naches Chapter at Konnowac Pass, bringing together a group of local riders, volunteers, and trail advocates. Together, we learned the fundamentals of sustainable trail design and maintenance, shared stories, and spent time working side by side on the land that brings this community together.

For a growing mountain bike community in the Yakima Valley, the weekend felt like something bigger: a glimpse of what's possible when people come together around trails.

Alpine singletrack, backcountry maintenance, sleeping under the stars.

Kettle Fest returns July 15–19!

We will gather at Kettle Crest for five days of riding, digging, camping, and community in the Colville National Forest. Come for the whole time or just a day or two: Saturday's trail work day is the heart of the event. No experience is required, all are welcome (including trail dogs!). We provide the tools, instruction, meals, and snacks.

A longstanding Evergreen tradition, Kettle Fest brings riders together to celebrate and care for the trails we love. Mountain sunsets, campfire stories, river swims, and helping maintain some of Washington's most legendary backcountry trails. That's Kettle Fest. πŸ’š More info & RSVP: https://www.evergreenmtb.org/calendar/eventdetail/24305/kettle-fest-2026

We've surveyed 115 Evergreen members. Here's what they told us:

83% rated their membership 4 or 5 out of 5. Nearly 97% would recommend Evergreen to a friend.

We don't take that lightly. Every trail we build, every work party we run, every access fight we show up for β€” that's what this community is paying forward.

A member said it better than we ever could."Compared to what I spend on season pass lift tickets, Team Epic is a deal."

Team Epic membership starts at $500/year β€” and every dollar goes directly toward building and protecting the trails you ride.

No chairlift required.

Every month, we send new and returning members a quick 5-question survey to learn what's working β€” and what's not. One question asks: "What's one thing Evergreen could do to make your membership more valuable?"

This word cloud is every answer, visualized.

We asked. You answered. And we're always listening. πŸ‘‡

What would you add? Drop it in the comments β€” and if you're not a member yet, join 4,700+ riders building and protecting Washington trails at evergreenmtb.org/join

Advocacy Alert: Port Angeles MTB trail access is threatened

A proposal to designate the Elwha River Watershed as a Natural Area could end or severely restrict mountain biking at Dry Hill, the Zoo, Colville, and the Olympic Adventure Trail. Washington DNR has begun the process of potentially designating these lands as a Natural Area Preserve or a Natural Resources Conservation Area. Neither designation allows for MTB on trails within those zones.

For nearly 30 years, volunteers have poured their hearts into Dry Hill. The community’s partnership with the DNR has proven that active forest management and world-class recreation can thrive together.

The DNR has been an outstanding partner throughout the years, and that partnership continues today as we work together to identify ways to harvest timber responsibly while preserving the trails and recreation opportunities that make this area so special.

Help advocate for our trails. Share your support for MTB trails in the DNR survey by June 15th: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/2e2fb0d2370d47b699bdfbe6b2739298?portalUrl=https://gis.dnr.wa.gov/portal

Join the Virtual Public Meeting on June 18th from 9-10am:

We need a good turnout to show decision-makers that our community values responsible recreation. This meeting is virtual, making it easy for everyone to attend and voice their support for continued trail access.
