On Saturday, May 9th, BasePoint Fitness will knock out its last rep. What a wild and beautiful journey these last 11 years have been. Our sadness is surpassed by how proud we are of the fact that our dream became a reality for over a decade. The core mission of BPF has always been to strategically train for true athleticism, with emphasis on longevity, and to establish a team environment which embraces every single participant with positivity, acceptance, and empowerment. From start to finish, we have been surrounded by absolutely wonderful people who have helped us uphold these goals. The relationships that have been forged along the way have made every step of this path beyond worth it.

Running a truly small, independent business is a tremendous uphill battle, made steeper by rising costs of living, perpetually increasing overhead expenses, economic disruptions, and seasonal fluctuations. All of the variables which need to align almost perfectly in order to proceed year after year are complex and interconnected. Like most things in life, we can control the effort, but not the outcome. It’s time for us to smoothly land the plane and celebrate the awesome adventure it has been.

To every single one of you who has supported BasePoint Fitness in one way or another, Thank You ❤️ We cannot fully express our gratitude. Whether your partnership with us was in days or years, you helped us to continue driving forward, ensuring not just your own time at BPF, but more time for others. One of the most beautiful aspects of a fitness studio, is that it creates an instant common ground for human connection. Nobody is focusing on all of each other’s typical differences that, sadly, all too often creates division. Instead, people get to see each other clearly, as beautiful fellow humans bonding within the pursuit of health and happiness. We couldn’t ask for a better BPF community. The love we’ve experienced over the years is real.

Running BasePoint Fitness has been one of the greatest honors and privileges of our lives. Our incredible team is Finishing Strong together on this home stretch, heartbroken that it has to be over, but simultaneously joyful and rock solid 💪

Sno Valley Pet Services - SVPS is an absolutely wonderful local organization to support if you can! 🐾 ❤️ 🐾 ❤️

URGENT NEED

Today, we showed up to pick up food for our pet food bank — and there was nothing there.

For months, donations to the Humane Society have declined, and the supply we rely on for nearly half of our food has steadily shrunk. This week, it ran out completely.

We’re scrambling to purchase food for tomorrow so no one leaves empty-handed. Thanks to recent fundraisers and the incredible support of our local partners — Pet Place Market, Love Bug Pet Boutique (Snoqualmie), Ace (North Bend), All the Best (Issaquah), and Petco (Issaquah) — we can cover this month. But we can’t keep operating in crisis mode.

Pets are family. No one should have to choose between feeding themselves or feeding their beloved companion.

To make sure bowls stay full, we’ll begin ordering food in advance — but we need steady, reliable support to make that possible.

Please consider becoming a monthly donor. Any amount makes a difference. A small, consistent gift helps us plan ahead and ensures every pet who depends on us gets the food they need.
