Our PNW communities have expirienced one of the worst fire seasons in recent history. These fires have had innumerable impacts on our communities and runners.

In the trail running world, many runners have had races or planned adventures cancelled, and we can empathize with what a bummer it is when that happens.

10/3 - Mt Si VK at North Bend Trail Fest.

Most ascent races are on roads or on a ski hill. Our route is non stop single track with a cherry picked view on top.

Event will sell out! About 10 spots left. Don’t miss out.

The Village Project x North Bend Trail Fest

Because parents need a break to hurl themselves up a mountain, too 🧖‍♀️⛰️

In trying to make trail racing more family friendly, we’re excited to partner with The Village Project North Bend - a local business whose mission it is to get parents outside. With a wonderful facility and care staff minutes from the race start, it’s a no brainer. Plus they are used to hosting a large variety of ages!

North Bend Trail Fest is a mountain race with a VK, 10k, and 30k distance on 10/3-4.

Services contingent on enough participation, so please RSVP ASAP! This can be done when registering on UltraSignup or by visiting our Family Friendly NBTF page on our website. Cost will be no more than $25/hr.

Comment PARENT for the link in DMs! And parents, drop a comment on why you would/wouldn’t use this service as trusting anyone with your kiddo is daunting, and we are eager to hear feedback.

We’re not kidding.

North Bend Trail Fest has a prize purse of $4.5k. The overall elite top 3 male, female, and non-binary runners will win cash (yeah, we said cash) awards of $1000, $300, and $200.

Extra $100 award for the fastest to the summit!!

North Bend Trail Fest July Vert month challenge raffle results 🎫 📆🏔️

You werked your butt off for vert, but you’re going to have to werk a little bit harder to see if you won anything.

Would you expect anything less from a free online competition asking you to run up as many mountains as you can in a month?

Huge congrats to the massive feet put up by everyone. We had 500 participants and totaled 10.9 million feet of vert in the month of July.

Vert Queen: Amber C (324k gain)
Vert King: Kyle E (216k gain)
Royal Court: Peak Freaks (354k gain)
Mt Everest challenge: Rank 73 of 131 (42k gain)
Mt Whitney challenge: Rank 14 of 246 (84k gain)
Mt Si challenge: Rank 360 of 362 (4k gain)

An official update on the July Vert Month Challenge has arrived!

We are deep enough into Vert Month to see the real fruit of our labor!

Where we stand right now:
🏔️ 83 runners over Mt Everest
🏔️ 175 runners over Mt Whitney
🏔️ 316 runners over Mt Si

The top 5 leaderboard has stayed rock solid:

What should be on the 5th (🟦) side? Drawing Mt Si to look like an actual mountain remains elusive…

The North Bend Trail Fest Vert Month celebrates those who are willing to grind it out, we have a little something for you speed demons. The first person, male or female, to break an existing record on any of the below classic I90 climbs wins $100. That’s right, President Benjamin Franklin will be your best friend!

Mt Si - Old Trail Ascent using the ‘Old Si’ Strava segment. 2.25 mi, 3,354ft gain, 28.1% avg grade. Starts in little si parking lot and ends at the Rocky outcropping below Mt Si following the NBTF Vertical Kilometers course.
Male: 35:47
Female: 48:55 .devoe

Mclellan Butte - Ascent only starting at the gate and ending at the summit. 5:43 mi, 4,394ft, 12% avg grade.

Female: 1:15:46 Tracey Steele

Mailbox - Old Trail Ascent using the ‘Mailbox Peak Uphill’ Strava segment. 2.14 mi, 3,891ft, 33.9% grade. Starts at the turnoff just up from the parking lot.
