This fundraiser supports Dylan’s Dream Team Memorial Foundation, which helps children and families facing cancer and life-altering illnesses, including support for organizations like Sloan Kettering and Ronald McDonald House, while continuing to build and improve the Dylan Murphy Field of Dreams in Dylan’s memory.

Upcoming field projects include:

• 20-foot foul ball fencing with netting

🌟 Another beautiful day honoring Dylan Murphy! 🌟

The 3rd Annual Dylan Murphy Co****le Tournament on Saturday was absolutely incredible.

It was amazing to see such a strong community turnout — friends coming together, having fun, and supporting the incredible causes that Donna and John Murphy continue to champion, all while honoring their son Dylan’s memory through Dylan Dream Team💙

This year was extra special as we also celebrated the progress on the Little League field at Saw Mill Rd School being built in Dylan’s honor — a lasting tribute that will bring joy to kids and families for years to come. ⚾️

🙏 Huge thanks to all of the friends, volunteers, and local businesses who made this event possible. Your support means more than words can say.

We can’t wait to see you all again next year! Stay tuned for more upcoming events. 🎯

When John and Donna Murphy threw out the first pitch on May 21, 2024, at the new turf baseball field at Saw Mill Road Elementary School, it marked more than just the opening of a facility—it was the fulfillment of a dream born from loss, love, and community strength.

The field, built in honor of Dylan Murphy—who passed away from leukemia at age 12 in September 2018—stands as a tribute to the boy’s love for baseball. A silhouette image of Dylan pitching, displayed inside a white circle with uniform No. 25, was provided by the Marty Lyons Foundation and now adorns the turf in front of the third-base dugout.

The Murphy family spent years rallying community support, raising funds, and working closely with the school district to make the project a reality. Their efforts culminated in a state-of-the-art field where children can enjoy the national pastime—just as Dylan did. The inaugural game brought tears, cheers, and a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community unites for a purpose.
