Abacaxi Keeni was created back in 2015 when our designer Lana came back to Miami from her solo backpacking trip around the world. She traveled with a full backpack of bikinis while staying at some of the most amazing beaches around the world. Being exposed to all the different styles of swimwear and getting to know different cultures and lifestyles inspired Lana to create her bikini brand known as Abacaxi Keeni. The word Abacaxi means sweet pineapple and was created when Lana spent some time in Rio de Janeiro. She fell in love with the bikini styles women in Rio de Janeiro wore, they were itty bitty tiny bikinis, which were worn by all types of women no matter what size, age, or ethnic background. Young, wild, and free with a sprinkle of sophistication is the inspiration for Lana’s bikinis collection, now and forever.
Lanas passion for bikinis started at a very young age, growing up in the Adriatic coastline, the ocean, sand, and bikinis were the highlights of her childhood, and soon her passions would turn reality.
Our bikinis are created to celebrate woman’s bodies, to make a statement that allows bo***es and booties to move freely in an itty-bitty bikini without receiving the social judgment of others. They inspire all women of the world to embrace their beautiful figures regardless of stretch marks, cellulite, small bo***es, big bo***es, flat booties, or big booties.
Designing swimwear for women is such an intimate experience and understanding our customers while celebrating the many female forms is an important part of our process.
