“driving too fast for conditions” 😳
Not sure who ELSE needs to ponder this, BUT GOD said share, so here ya go, friend! 🗣️
When taking a route out of the norm for my day this morning… in the rain, 🌧️ I kept having the thought “driving too fast for conditions”…. Like over and over in my mind….
Was it what I was noticing about other drivers or myself?
Well, if I don’t say, “BOTH”, I’d be lying. Not because I was being careless or inattentive or speeding, but because wet, curvy, and in some places muddy roads, that are unfamiliar to me REQUIRE the driver to PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to ALL the things… and I am imperfect and make mistakes!
I began to sense The Lord speaking to my heart ….
💭 💬how often are we rolling through “life” (whether in a trial or on the mountaintop) yet going FULL SPEED AHEAD like we just know where we are going and exactly what we’re doing with an “I got this” attitude and all of our
“good ideas”?!
I confess, 🙋🏻♀️I HAVE been found “driving too fast for conditions” (spiritually speaking here) and
Guess what?! IT COSTS ME EVERY SINGLE TIME! 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve never really thought about that before! 🤔
TRUTH to ponder: 🧐
God wants us to OBEY Him because He loves us and He already knows what’s up ahead…. The sharp turns and sudden curves…
🙏Oh, Lord God, I REPENT!
IN LIFE, too often I am going ahead unaware of the changing terrain, storm that’s brewing, sudden sharp curves, BUT GOD! Hallelujah 🙌🏼 WHEN I stay surrendered to Holy Spirit, talking to HIM as I go… WOW! THAT IS when YOUR GOOD PLANS for me come to fruition, Lord!
Not because You want to control me, but because YOU LOVE ME! Ohhhh, how YOU DO SO LOVE ME, Jesus!!
Knowing God as Father helps me WANT to
CHOOSE to
LISTEN for His voice!
For it is written….
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.”

““Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently OBEY the voice of The Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you OBEY the voice of The Lord your God:”
Deuteronomy 28:1-2
I’m reminding my rememberer today to “be as PROMPT to OBEY as you want your kids to be!”
