This Sunday is our final show of the Summer Concert Series at the Bandshell. If you haven’t made it out to one of our concerts this summer, come join us for the last one. Bring your family and friends, grab a spot, and enjoy one last summer evening of live music with us!

The Norristown Recreation Center is proud to partner with the George Washington Carver Community Center for our annual Pitching for Unity Softball Fundraiser on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. 🥎

This special community event brings together the Norristown Police Department, Norristown Fire Department, school administrators, municipal representatives, community organizations, and youth for a day of teamwork, relationship-building, unity, and fun.

Games will be played at Latshaw Field, located at 699 W. Sterigere Street, Norristown, PA 19401.

We are currently looking for sponsors, softball players, and vendors to join us and help make this year's event a success. We invite local businesses, organizations, community members, and supporters to participate by becoming a sponsor, joining a team, or sharing your resources with the community.

Most importantly, the funds raised through this event will support programs and activities designed to engage our youth, promote positive relationships, reduce violence, and create safe opportunities for young people in our community.

Together, the Norristown Recreation Center and George Washington Carver Community Center are committed to strengthening our community through partnership, recreation, and unity. ❤️💙 We hope you’ll join us on September 26th! We would love to see you on the field and in the community.
