This barracuda saw us in the distance and swam over to us. Once he got to us, he just stayed there like he wanted us to take his photo. Once I stopped taking video, he just swam back the other way.

We picked up a few new divers on our trip to Utila and I absolutely loved watching this couple dive. You can see the joy in everything they find or see - even if they have seen it a hundred times before. They are the real reason to scuba - not to cert collect, not to have all the cool gear (although, that is fun) and not to win Iron Diver (although that compeittion is fun to watch) but to see the beauty of the ocean, the delicacy of our eco-system, and to remind us we are a small part of this earth and take care of what we love.

You might think these Flamingo Tongue shells are so pretty with their vibrant leopard spot shells - but did you know their shells are actually all white!?!? The beautiful colors are actually the snails soft body as it envelopes it's own shell! When threatened, the body retracts and leaves a plain white shell.

These Caribbean Reef squid grow up to 12 inches long and prefer to stay in small groups of 4 to 30. When courting or fighting, the males change colors. Is that what is going on here?
