Without slowness, you lose your humanity.

I have been trying my best to practice what I preach -

Stewarding my health (read: life) so that I can be fully present with the people I love.

I don’t take care of my health so that I can be healthy. I take care of my health so I can love and serve and live without distraction. Plus it makes me feel better and I have more energy to be with my family and do the things I am called to.

And just a tiny reminder, most of the time, the wonderful moments of life can’t be captured in photographs. 🩷

So go enjoy those unpictured moments. Stop faux living on social media. (Are you stewarding social media or your real life?) I promise you’ll be happier. And healthier.

Not pictured: any of the work I’m doing with Olive Tree - training and coaching clients plus a couple of new (and exciting! 🌿) projects, a leadership discipleship group I lead for lovely ladies at my church, my super fun classes at the university I started teaching this semester, hard situations we are walking through, deep conversations with my girls, family game nights, time with friends, sweet mornings of solitude with the Lord, the hard but good work of ministry and so much more

Life is more important than what can be photographed or filmed. Go live. For real.

You don’t get a replacement.

You have been given the gift of a good body. And your body is intricately designed to take care of you.

Let’s take care of your body well. Not with harsh protocols or intense regimens. Not with obsession and hyper-focused self-worship.

There’s a better way to steward your health…

Let’s give your body the gentle attention and essential care that you need.

Even the small things matter.

And I might argue it’s the small things that make up the majority of good stewardship.

We really had such a blast working on this project together.

These girls are treasures beyond words.

We have been “working” on this project for a few years now but finally created the finished program this summer. I paid them (think what you want but I think it’s very important for me to show them the immense value that they are!) and took them out for lunch and a girls day to thank them for their hard work and help.

They even helped me with the theme, ideas, colors, graphics and some other parts to ensure that the program was tailored to kids’ preferences and just more fun! And honestly, it wouldn’t be as great as it is without them and their amazing hearts and help!

What a dream it is for me to do this “work” with my girls. 💗💖
