About to make a Caddo Longbow. I’ve been researching them a lot! The Native Caddo people made these bows only 42” long! And only 1” at the handle. Most made them from hickory (living in these mountains there is an abundance) and not nearly as many Osage trees.

I just cut 4 beautiful hickory staves! Can’t wait to see the “Caddo Woodsman” come to life!!

“Cold Coffee”

You won’t be able to see all the beauty if your eyes are closed. Do you spend your whole life sleeping? Or do you wake up and watch the earth come to life?

I relate life to a lot of things… but Coffee comes to mind most of all.

Coffee is bitter, but it is also sweet.

Coffee wakes you up, but if you drink too much it will slow you down..

Coffee might have some grounds in it (especially if percolated) but you have to deal with the grind sometimes… just chew it up and don’t complain.

Coffee, you might spill it on your cleanest shirt.. it will leave a nasty stain (and might even burn your skin) but you still drink it, cause… it’s coffee.

Coffee is hot. But it will get cold if you don’t drink it.

Don’t let the grass grow up under your feet.

Don’t sit around and let life pass you by. Go out and chase it. Make every day an adventure. Don’t get in a rut, don’t think you’re stuck.

DON’T LET YOUR COFFEE GET COLD….

Cause.. If there is one thing in this world I hate most of all… it’s cold coffee
