Why do we do CrossFit?!
Well besides it being fun, making you a certified bad ass, helping you meet new friends, and looking better naked (😏), the movements we do here ultimately lead to better every day movement patterns and a longer, more active and independent lifestyle. Which if you ask us, is pretty damn important.🤘🏽
▪️Deadlifts : That old saying “lift with your legs not your back” rings true. Whether moving furniture or bringing in the latest Amazon package someone ordered (👀) learning proper bracing and lifting technique will keep your back safe and healthy. 📦
▪️Box Step Ups : Not all of us were blessed with genetic height gifts, but ya still gotta get stuff off the top shelf! 🌱
▪️Burpees : At the end of the day, a burpee is the ability to get yourself down and up off the floor safely without assistance. If she doesn’t remember the “help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” commercials - she’s too young for you bro. 🙅🏻♀️
▪️Clean + Jerk : While this movement may look fancy or extraneous, being able to hoist your carry on suitcase up and overhead into the compartment on an airplane has biggg BDE energy and will be sure to wow your fellow passengers.👌🏽
▪️Farmer’s Carry : Why make 3 trips to the car when you can make one?! Ask any CrossFitter - getting the groceries in in one trip is our favorite pastime. (Besides talking about CrossFit of course). 😈
▪️Kettlebell Swings : Whether you’re picking up a puppy or a tiny human to toss in the air, no one wants to be the one who pulls their back out trying to entertain baby Susie at her second birthday party in front of all her tiny demanding toddler friends. 🤷🏻♀️
