Spread the word!! The ODU Research Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director for Engagement to perform work under the Institute for Coastal Adaptation and Resilience and as a Virginia Sea Grant extension staff member!

The Assistant Director for Engagement will fill a critical gap in Hampton Roads for outreach, coordination, technical assistance, and scientific synthesis and integration capacity on coastal adaptation and resilience issues.

"Coastal resilience is a key area in which ODU can be a national and international leader through its cutting-edge research," President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D., said. "This initiative, which is aimed at helping to ease the hardships of the people who can least afford it when a storm hits, is a prime example of how our efforts can make a difference in the lives of citizens." They are developing a platform that would aid in planning recovery efforts long before a storm is forecast and throughout the aftermath.
