Winter 18 & Over Men’s Saturday League Captain of the Season is DAVE GRIFFIN…captain of the Grand Cascades team.

Dave’s teammates are saying great things about him….
“Dave is the kind of captain every team hopes to have. He's organized, positive, and dedicated to making the season enjoyable for everyone. Dave handles all the scheduling, lineups, and communications with ease, but what really makes him stand out is the way he brings people together.
He leads with enthusiasm and fairness, keeps our team motivated, and makes sure everyone feels included and valued. Whether it’s finding last-minute subs, encouraging new players, or keeping team spirits high after a tough loss, Dave always does it with patience and a great attitude.

Our Winter Junior Team Tennis League Captain of the Season is… Lana Ten!
Lana is the captain of the Laurel Springs Mixed 12 U team.

Lana’s team has said about her…”She is always going above and beyond to communicate everything regarding our matches. She advocates for the kids and encourages them to play their best. She also cheers them up after a loss. She has the teams best interest at heart, plays the kids in the lineup fairly, and always has a smile on her face!

Lana will have his choice of fun USTA Atlanta Captain logo'd swag and title of Captain of the Season!

18 & Over Business Women’s League Captain of the Season is…LISA RAY!
Lisa is the captain of the Post Oak Rec Team.
Her teammates have said “Lisa Ray is the BEST team captain because she sacrifices her time to create multiple USTA league teams. Captaining goes unnoticed if you have never captained. I have been on multiple teams that she captains, and she has never complained about the Job. She is always fair, and she does her best to always accommodate her team players schedules and the opponents when they need to play early.”

The 2026 Combo Doubles State Qualifier registration is OPEN and is filling up fast!

Qualifier takes place on Saturday, August 8th (and Aug 9th if needed).
Locations:
Fowler Park
Fair Oaks Tennis Center
Harrison Park Tennis Center

🎾 3 lines of doubles
🎾 8 game pro sets with no ad scoring
🎾 $33.15 per player

Winning teams at each level will receive an invite to the USTA Georgia State Tournament.

We have spots left in the following levels:
6.5 women - two spots remaining
7.5 women – full – on a wait list
8.5 women – one spot remaining
6.5 Men and 7.5 Men: both have 2 spots remaining
8.5 men - all 4 spots are open for that level

Tennis on the Block is a community-driven street tennis event created by All-Love Racquet Club that blends tennis, music, culture, wellness, and community engagement to make the sport more accessible and visible in neighborhoods across the country. Following a successful Harlem street takeover last year, the series is expanding to Atlanta for a day of free tennis programming, DJs, community play, coaching, giveaways, and cultural experiences designed for all ages and skill levels.
