Hi fabulous people!
My name is Katie Kunker and I am the owner of The Art of Hustle and Heart. 2 years ago we moved here from Charleston, SC where my daughter was a professional hiphop dancer and trained at a hiphop only studio that proudly stood for hiphop, positivity, and community. We couldn't find anything like that here, so we started our own little program and it has brought us so much joy!
My daughter and I started this HipHop program last year in Nokomis just for fun to show kiddos in our community how fun, freeing, and creative dance can be. It has been an incredible journey! We will be teaching classes through the end of the school year and would love to invite new families to be a part of our hiphop family.
It is important to note that we do not just teach hip hop. We teach positive affirmations, breathwork, stretching, mindset, etc. This is a safe place for your kiddo to creatively express themselves and hopefully fall in love with the art of movement! We have three different classes based on age and ability and we will be expanding even more next year.
If you are interested, please come on Monday Feb 12th for your dancer to try out the class and to speak to parents and staff about their experience with our program.
We just got back from our very 1st competition where our dancers placed 1st place, 2nd place, the venus award, the opal award, the choreography award, and an invite to nationals! We just did the one competition for fun this year, but who knows what next year will bring 🙂 We were a part of the Venice Parade this year and won the youth joy award. We dance at local communities every month so the kids get an opportunity to perform. We also have a really fun end of year performance.
We serve our community, we laugh, we dance, we pour love and positivity into your kiddos!

Schedule: MONDAYS:
4:15-5:00 Girls ages 9 and under
5:00-5:45 Boys ages 9 and under
5:45-6:15 stretching and breathwork session (open to community and dancers) Add this on for Just $15 a month!
6:15-7:15 Intermediate 10 and up (skill and age based, by invite only)
