This group is for moms, with or without their children, to get together, walk, make new friends, and enjoy nature. Participants will meet once a month to hike a section of the trails with a staff member. Hikes will range from 1 mile to 2.5 mile

Our bike share program at Strawtown Koteewi Park lets you explore miles of trails winding past the White River, open prairie, and quiet woodlands, all within the county's largest park. It's the perfect way to soak up nature and get your body moving.

Bike racks are located at the White River Campground and the Taylor Center of Natural History.

The Taylor Center welcomes certified nature journal educator, James Todd, for monthly instruction on the practice of nature journaling. Nature journaling is a way of slowing down and provides a reprieve from the constant communication and busy calendars of our daily lives. Nature journaling fosters curiosity, teaches observation skills, and inspires a more creative life.
