Strawtown Koteewi Park and The Taylor Center of Natural History

Our interpretive staff conducts tours of the Strawtown Enclosure, a Native American village that was inhabited over 700 years ago. During these tours we will discuss the Indigenous craftsmen who built and used the enclosure and see some of the artifacts recovered by archaeologists. The tours include a short stroll to the village site.

Art and Nature Weekend Retreat at the Taylor Center of Natural History
We have something very special planned for you during this wonderful weekend of nature and creativity. Saturday and Sunday are packed full of beautiful surprises, including exploring cyanotypes, gentle yoga, felting native birds, gelli nature prints, canoeing, hiking, and sharing space with others.

Moms Walking Club at Strawtown Koteewi Park
This group is for moms, with or without their children, to get together, walk, make new friends, and enjoy nature. Participants will meet once a month to hike a section of the trails with a staff member. Hikes will range from 1 mile to 2.5 mile
