When I was in Okinawa in 2015, I went to his dojo and Karate museum. In addition to being an incredible Goju martial artist, he is a world renowned Kanji artist. It was an honor and blessing visiting with him. He made me several Kanji art pieces that I bought and still have up in my home. Arigato gozaimasu Tetsuhiro

It's hard to teach and old dog new tricks! When I started my way in Goju Karate I was 47 years old. Learning a martial art was always something I wanted to do, but I never made it a priority. Then Bob Meyer came along and introduced me to Mr. Charles Duff. My life was changed from that moment on. I am honored to say after 8 years I have achieved the first degree black belt rank of Shodan-Ho in Tenshi Goju Kai. With a full heart I want to thank everyone from around the world that supported and encouraged me to continue my journey. Thank you to Hanshi Lou Angel for teaching your style, Tenshi, to some of the greatest men I know, that have taught it to me. Thank you Shihan Duff for the blessing of allowing me to be one of your students. Your patience and understanding in preparing me for this honor has been overwhelming over the years. We have traveled to Okinawa Japan, the birthplace of Karate, together to quench our thirst for knowledge in this martial art. You have taught me lessons about myself that are rarely learned at my age. You have opened my mind to a higher understanding of this life and the people that come and go while living it. To me sir you are perfect in your imperfections. God puts blessings in your life daily. We must ignore the distractions of man to take action on those blessings. 🥋The journey to black belt continues! Shihan Duff awarded me with the 2nd Kyu rank of Nikyu, Brown belt 1 Black stripe. Only one more before testing for black belt! Notice the date on it is February 14th, 2020. Due the the Chinese virus he was unable to present it to me. Thank you sir, for honoring me with this Kyu rank of Nikyu, and the gift to continue to learn from a great master such as you. Osss🥋📜

These kids are not sleeping late on Saturday and waking up to play video games all day! It's a great way to see our future youth compete at a high level in folkstyle wrestling. The United Sates is the only country that competes in this style of wrestling. NWC gives donations to local charities, clubs and organizations with the proceeds generated from this event.
