I’d like to invite you on a fantastic journey to destination, “Healthy Heart, Body, and Spirit.” I’ve started a FREE walk/ run club 3 years ago, and we meet at Schenectady’s central park on Saturday mornings at 8am, then eventually we’ll start branching out to other parks. Your destination to, “Healthy Heart, Body, and Spirit” is
not a temporary visit… it’s for a lifetime! I started this club so that we can enter competitions (walks/ run races) with the utmost confidence and so that you never start nor finish a race alone... I want everyone to feel that these types of competitions are within your reach, and most of them are for a good cause too! What is JoyFitness?
• To come together in health and fitness.
• To uphold one another in a positive way.
• To feel better about oneself.
• To satisfy the social component of fitness by way of healthy social interactions.
• To create a network of new friends that understands you because they’re just
like you!
• To challenge yourself.
• To have fun!! As a team, we’ll be divided into 4 groups:
Group 1: Brisk walker
Group 2: Trotter (you walk and trot)
Group 3: Trotter/ sprinter
Group 4: Runners
Please note, we don’t all run… however, we will all do our very best, and the end result is to finish. I’d like to have enough participants to cover all 4 groups so that wherever your fitness is, we will always have company. Also, it allows us to work up to the next group/ fitness status. As we enter into competitions (Friehofers for example), we’ll enter as a team. T-shirts will identify you to the team and to others. The t-shirts say, “Joy Fitness”. So, team… what do you think?
