Long post but necessary info for those that don’t read email:

Good afternoon competitors!

Below is this match weekend’s schedule. Range rules don’t allow us to go hot until 9:00am EDT on all days. Range is on Eastern time.

Plan is to shoot as many stages as possible on Saturday by 5:00pm and the remaining stages on Sunday. We will have your starting stage assignment at Check In.

Friday, June 26

RO’s Only
1) 7:00am: Report to range
2) 9:00am: Go Hot…shoot all 8 stages
3) Once all stages are shot, we’ll meet at the range house for a match briefing (in the clubhouse at the top of the range if raining)

Competitors Only
1) 2:00pm-6:00pm: Check In at the entrance to the range (you’ll see a sign)
2) You’re welcome to start walk throughs at any time but please be mindful of and out of the way of the RO’s shooting
3) 8:00pm: You will need to be off the range

Saturday, June 27th

All Match Staff and Competitors

1) 7:00am RO’s and Staff report to range for any last minute briefing and making sure stages are ready
2) 7:00am-8:00am Check in for any remaining competitors
3) 8:15am: Shooter’s Meeting at the Range House (Stat Shack) down across from Stage 3
4) 9:00am: Go Hot!
5) 5:00pm: Range goes Cold unless some are still shooting
6) 6:00pm: Arrive at the Wingate Hotel (if you’re not there already) for cash bar and match bragging rights. The Wingate is at 52890 SR 933, South Bend, IN, 46637
7) 7:00pm: Dinner served for All Match Staff, Competitors and paid guests
8)8:00pm: Comedy show for All Match Staff, Competitors and paid guests by Zaq Weaver and special guest Sean Shank

Sunday, June 28th
1) 8:00am: RO’s report to range and prep your stage
2) 9:00am: Go Hot!
3) TBD: Scores posted and awards at the Clubnouse located at the entrance of the range. We will send an all match email out letting you know the exact time.

Good morning, everyone!

I wanted to put out a quick reminder for those traveling to the match so you know what to pack—and what not to pack.

There will be no slings required at this match, so you can leave your rifle sling at home.

We do have an all-shotgun Jungle Run for 3-Gun competitors and an all-pistol Jungle Run for 2-Gun competitors. This stage will feature approximately 30–40 targets plus a spinner, so make sure you bring enough shell carriers, magazines, and ammunition to get through the stage comfortably.

For the rest of the match, there will be quite a few shooter’s choice options, meaning some stages may be pistol-heavy while others may favor the rifle. Be sure to pack accordingly and bring enough gear to support a variety of stage plans.

We are a week away and I am very excited to see you all next week.

I want to take a quick minute and just throw this out there. We all love shooting matches and if any of you have ever been a part of the match staff you know how much work goes into putting these matches on. This is all volunteer work and if it wasn’t for the match staff of every match we’ve ever shot none of this would be possible. We all do it for the love of the game so when you all show up to not only The Great Lakes match but each and every match you go to please take a minute and show your gratitude for the staff that is helping out. Whether it’s a monthly club match or a major match there is a ton of work that goes into it. Today we were working on painting the new walls we just built and I personally want to thank all involved in helping with not only this match but every match I have been a part of.

Happy Sunday! We are less than 2 weeks away from the match and everything is coming together great.
We want to give a huge thank you to Black Arsenal who was the original title sponsor of the match way back when it all started in 2016 and as soon as they heard we were bring it back to Bend of The River Conservation Club where it all started Chad immediately reached out and said Im in before I even had a chance to ask him.

Good afternoon!

Everything is coming together nicely for the match in 2 weeks!

The official round count for the match will be 150 rounds per firearm plus 25 slugs.

This number is somewhat fluid because most of the stages have options that allow you to use one gun or the other…choices that make you think which way is faster, more efficient, etc. So depending on how you end up shooting a stage will cause you to use more of one type of ammo and less than another…as much as 50-75 rounds one way or another. And this number doesn’t account for misses…so plan accordingly.

2 Gun shooters…double that pistol count to at least 300.
