As a kid I would ask for knives for my birthday and I have carried a knife since I was about 14 almost every day. I have owned cheap knives, and I have owned some middle of the road knives. I have yet to spend thousands on a knife, mostly because I believe in frugality, but partly because I have a family and knife spending comes down the line in my priority list.
